1. Introduction
GME TimeSnap ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by GME Ltd USA ("we," "us," "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Extension and this website.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Free Tier — Local Data Only
When using the Free tier, all data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data. Locally stored data includes:
- Timer state (running, paused, stopped) and elapsed time
- Customer, project, and service names you enter
- Time entry history and session logs
- Extension settings and preferences
2.2 Pro Tier — Cloud-Synced Data
When you upgrade to Pro and opt into cloud sync, certain data is transmitted to and stored on our backend servers (hosted on Supabase). This includes:
- Your email address (for account authentication)
- Session backup data (timer state, customer/project/service names, duration)
- Time entry history for sync across devices
- Extension settings for cross-device consistency
2.3 Payment Information
Pro subscriptions are processed through Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or other payment card details. Stripe handles all payment processing in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We receive only:
- Your email address
- Subscription status (active, cancelled, expired)
- Billing dates
2.4 Website Analytics
This website (timesnap.gmeltdus.com) may use basic analytics to understand page visits. No personally identifiable information is collected through website analytics.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions
GME TimeSnap requests the following Chrome permissions:
- tabs — To detect when you navigate to QuickBooks Online pages and enable auto-start/pause functionality.
- storage — To save your settings, timer state, and time entry history locally on your device.
- activeTab — To interact with the currently active tab for reading page context (customer/project names).
- scripting — To inject the auto-fill script into QuickBooks Online time entry forms.
Host permissions are limited to *.intuit.com (for QBO interaction) and our authentication service.
